Colorado Avalanche Are One Win Away From NHL Stanley Cup

The Avs regained the series momentum Wednesday night with a 3-2 overtime win against the two-time defending champions.

DraftKings Sportsbook Colorado bettors who picked the Colorado Avalanche at +475 to hoist the Stanley Cup in 2022 before the season began are just one win away from collecting on a healthy payday.

The Avs withstood a brief momentum shift in the 2022 Stanley Cup Final Wednesday night by outdueling the two-time defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning in a 3-2 overtime victory at Amalie Arena.

With the win, Colorado moves to 3-1 in the best-of-seven series… and just a sole victory away from claiming their third NHL championship title.

Action returns to Ball Arena on Friday night for Game #5, where the Avalanche could finish the series and crush the Lightning’s hopes of a “three-peat.”

2022 Men’s College World Series Championship

The Oklahoma Sooners (45-22) (15-9 Big 12) have a college baseball postseason record of 12-2 this year and have earned a spot in the championship series of the 2022 MCWS.

They will play against the Ole Miss Rebels (40-23) (14-16 SEC) in a best-of-three championship final that begins on Saturday, June 25th, at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. Ole Miss reaches its first MCWS final in team history. The Sooners last won a national title in 1994.

On Thursday, Arkansas Razorbacks ace Connor Noland pitched a sensational eight innings in which he only allowed two runs and seven hits against the Ole Miss Rebels. However, that performance was overshadowed by Rebels right-handed star Dylan Delucia, who threw nine shutout innings in a complete game, 2-0 win. DeLucia limited the Razorbacks’ batters to four hits with zero walks while striking out seven.

Rockies Continue To Struggle In National League West Division

The Colorado Rockies have 30 wins accompanied by 40 losses this year and are currently in last place within the NL West Division after being swept by the Marlins in Miami..

With roughly two dozen games remaining until the All-Star Break, Colorado will look to gain at least a small amount of ground in the division – with multiple series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks as well as one series against the San Diego Padres.

Colorado’s upcoming schedule could grant the team an opportunity to significantly close the gap in the NL West, but could also result in disaster if they are swept by their division opponents. The Rockies are on the road at Minnesota this weekend before returning for two home-stand series against the Dodgers and Diamondbacks, respectively.

The next game for the Rockies will be Friday night at Target Field in Minneapolis against the Twins.
