Air Force Honoring In-State College Football With 2-0 Record

A 41-10 blowout against Colorado at Falcon Stadium improves Air Force’s record to 2-0 as they prepare for their first “away” game in Laramie versus Wyoming.

In two losses, the Colorado Buffaloes have been outscored 79-23.

And the Colorado State Rams have been beaten by a cumulative score of 85-26 in their first two games.

But in two wins, the Air Force Falcons have outscored their opponents 89-27 – and now look forward to a showdown in Laramie against the 2-1 Wyoming Cowboys on September 17th.

Could Air Force Eventually Breach The “Top 25” AP College Football Poll?

While this could be a possibility, the 2-0 Falcons don’t have any ranked opponents on the regular season schedule this year – meaning an entry into the Associated Press “Top 25” College Football Poll could be difficult without more, extremely decisive victories going forward.

Still, Air Force has given in-state CO fans and sports bettors something to root for in their upcoming games this month.

College Football “Upset Weekend” Pays Dividends For Underdog Bettors

Colorado mobile sportsbook apps paid off huge wins for bettors who wagered on select “unranked” teams to knock off Top 25 squads this past Saturday.

Three “Top 10” teams were defeated – including (#6) Texas A&M, (#8) Notre Dame, and (#9) Baylor. The Aggies lost to unranked Appalachian State, and the Fighting Irish lost in South Bend against unranked Marshall.

Both of those underdog teams paid Moneyline bettors roughly +1000 (10:1 odds) for their outright wins.

Other Top 25 upsets on Saturday saw (#25) Houston lose to Texas Tech and (#12) Florida drop their home game against the (#20) Kentucky Wildcats.

And in an entirely unexpected battle, the (#1) Alabama Crimson Tide barely won in Austin against the unranked Texas Longhorns by a score of 20-19 – thanks to a game-ending drive with less than a minute to play led by Bryce Young.

The (#24) Tennessee Volunteers also came out with an overtime 34-27 victory against the (#17) Pittsburgh Panthers, but they were favored by a touchdown to win despite their inferior ranking entering Week 2.

Broncos Still Favored By Nearly A Touchdown At Seattle

The first Monday Night Football game of the NFL season will take place at Lumen Field in Seattle, with Broncos QB Russell Wilson at the helm for the first time against his former team.

Updated odds at BetRivers Sportsbook CO have Denver entering Monday night as a -6.5 point favorite.

With about 24 hours remaining until the Broncos play their first game, the majority of real money action on legal mobile sportsbook apps nationwide is being placed on Denver, according to stats published by VegasInsider.

Rockies Are On A Four-Game Winning Streak

Seemingly out of nowhere, the Colorado Rockies are in the midst of a four-game winning streak with an opportunity to sweep the Diamondbacks at Coors Field this Sunday afternoon.

Despite the current positive run, Colorado is all but mathematically eliminated from postseason contention (61 wins and 79 losses – with an 18-29 record since the All-Star Break).

Even if the Rockies were to somehow “win out” and miraculously pull out a “winning season,” they would need a significant amount of help to qualify as a National League wildcard team.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have the best record in Major League Baseball (95-43) with two dozen games left to play in the regular season.
