Colorado Buffaloes Open Season As Underdogs Against TCU

Colorado Buffaloes Open Season As Underdogs Against TCU

This Friday night’s NCAA football showdown at Folsom Field in Boulder will pit Colorado against the “Big 12” Horned Frogs out of Fort Worth, Texas.

The Colorado Buffaloes will open their 2022 NCAA football regular season this Friday night at Folsom Field in Boulder as a 14-point underdog when they take on the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University

Caesars Sportsbook Colorado currently has a line on the Buffs awarding the host team two touchdowns with the majority of wagering money so far being placed on the heavily favored TCU squad, according to this week’s lines published by VegasInsider.

Meanwhile Fanduel Sportsbook CO grants Colorado 13.5 points in the matchup, with an Over/Under line set just above 55 total points as of Thursday.

Last year, the PAC-12 Buffaloes ended their season with an overall record of 4 wins and 8 losses, with a conference mark of 3-6. Colorado lost every single “away” game last year and was not in bowl contention.

The Horned Frogs didn’t fare much better in the “Big 12” during the 2021 season, going 5-7 overall with a matching 3-6 conference record.

Colorado is scheduled to play a total of three teams ranked in the preseason Top 25 Associated Press Poll this November – all of which are members of the PAC-12: (#11) Oregon, (#14) USC, and (#7) Utah.

Colorado Rockies Have 30 Games Left In 2022 Regular Season

Nearby, in downtown Denver, the Colorado Rockies will finally return home to Coors Field on September 5th, when they start a pair of three game series against the Brewers and Diamondbacks, respectively.

With a current record of 56 wins and 75 losses (and facing the Braves in a rubber-match of a three game series in Atlanta) the Rockies are all but out of the postseason pennant race and are becoming a well-established bottom dweller within the National League West division.

In fact, Colorado’s chances of landing the 1st overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft are improving with every loss, but the team is still a longshot from having one of the three worst overall season records this year. Due to the format of the 2023 MLB Draft Lottery, the three worst teams in the league will each have an equal chance, 16.5%, of winning the #1 overall pick next year.

But each of the 18 teams that do not qualify for the postseason this year will have at least a (very) marginal shot at selecting first overall.

Broncos Preparing For “Monday Night Football” Season Opener Against Seattle

Last month, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was voted as the #61 best player in the National Football League.

Wilson’s return to Lumen Field is already a highly anticipated event by fans and sports bettors alike, and BetRivers Sportsbook Colorado has the Broncos as a 6-point favorite to come out on top on Monday, September 12th.

The Over/Under line is hovering around 42 points at the moment, which is a relatively low number for NFL regular season games, but could also point to bettors’ confidence in each team’s defensive personnel.

Denver Nuggets Prepare For Start Of Regular Season In October

The Denver Nuggets will start their 2022-23 NBA regular season on the road with their first two games against the Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors.

The Nuggets made the NBA Playoffs last year but were eliminated in the first round by the eventual champion Golden State Warriors.

Defending NHL Stanley Cup Winners Attempt To Repeat Starting This October

The defending NHL Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, will start their 2022-23 National Hockey League regular season off at home versus the Chicago Blackhawks on October 12th.

The Avs have a pair of preseason warm-up games on September 25th against the Minnesota Wild and Las Vegas Golden Knights, but won’t officially begin their quest for a repeat until mid-October.
